Data we record

How we count visits

Usage statistics travel from your browser to our own endpoint, /api/ingest, which forwards them to an analytics provider (EU) that keeps the data on servers in the European Union. Your IP address goes along so a rough location (country, city) can be derived. Pages within one visit are linked by a random code in session storage that is wiped when the tab closes, so we can't connect separate visits. We don't place cookies for statistics. If you are in the EU, nothing is counted until you press "Allow".

The analysis link

Buttons like "Start my analysis" pass through cheekacne.com/routine-check on their way to acne.today, an independent paid service. The address tells acne.today which site and which button sent you. Photos, answers and payments you give acne.today are handled under its own privacy policy.
